Teachers: Teachers at Today's Children of Wildwood provide individual attention, protection, security, stimulation, support, limits, and affection. Our teachers are involved in planning a quality program that gives children the opportunities to explore, experiment, and develop creativity. Our staff meets all requirements set forth by the Missouri State Dept. of Education, Office of Child Care. Learning Environment: Our center is divided into age appropriate rooms, each with their own policies and schedules. Learning Centers are spaced throughout the open areas. These activity centers are updated each week for exciting learning and discovery possibilities:
Our center has a fenced outdoor play yard with age appropriate equipment. Children can play outdoors twice a day for at least a 30 minute period, weather permitting. Nutrition: We offer a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack to all children ages 12 months and up. Breakfast is also offered for an additional fee. All meals and snacks are nutritious and meet state requirements for nutritious foods. Parent's of infants must prepare and provide all infant formula/breast milk and additional baby food or finger food. We will meet any special dietary restrictions your child may have. Communication: There is a parent's bulletin board location in the lobby which contains breakfast forms, medication forms, weekly menus, and other important information. Inside of each classroom is a schedule of the weekly lesson plans. Each child also has there own record sheet for parents and teachers to keep track of their child's daily activities. We encourage our parents to be involved in the program. We feel that communication is vital to a successful relationship between parent and caregiver.
